Alan Hugley First Mayoral Election Candidate

It's official...Alan Hugley is the first Red Oak mayoral candidate at the starting line.

Who is this guy? Here's what I know so far:
  • Very upfront-Has no axes to grind nor secretive political agenda
  • Doesn't live in the past-Wants Red Oak to move forward rather than stagnate
  • Will work with all-Doesn't play "them versus us" game we've seen for years in Red Oak politics
  • He's refreshing after the last set of mayoral candidates-No BS, WYSIWYG, and frankly is what is needed to move Council off-center, move forward with progressive City Staff and kick-start the dead Economic Development Board for Red Oak.

Alan's going to get some flack about being a lackey for this or that person but I guarantee you'll not find a more honest and forthright person to oversee city affairs.

I challenge all to come and meet Alan Hugley on Founder's Day....you'll be surprised with the candidate. He's a breath of fresh air in Red Oak politics

Rents his living establishment. Does not own or pay city taxes!

You must be smoking something or just insane. This guy owns his home, pays taxes and should be the next mayor.
Where's the proof? Check the ECAD and see who owns his property....put up or shut up.

This is a non issue.

According to a former mayor of Red Oak, My Hughley is currently under contract for one of his rent houses.

Hope you've got the right guy.

Your former mayor contact is pullin' your chain. You should take a good look on the Ellis County Appraisal District's site. Type Hugley in the NAME SEARCH, read it and tell me what you found here.

I already know the answer....and you really must be smoking something.

Yea your contact is wrong!!! Your contact is blowing smoke up your A__. Alan owns his house. As steve said you better check the records. And get your facts right.
Make sure your looking up the righy person: You spell the last name Hugley. Without the H

Alan is a great man and will do just fine as mayor. If he is elected I think he will be the best mayor Red Oak has had for 10 yrs. Good luck Alan!!

I heard there's a guy that lives down the street from Todd Little that is filing for the mayor's spot. Can't the Little's keep their fingers out of local politics? It seems they tend to get their knuckles bloodied. Why can't they get the message? It's divide and separate yet again into "us vs. them" camps. These folks must really want this town's name to be changed to Littleberg.

Just because this guy lives down the street from the Little's doesn't mean he's friends with or likes them. Maybe you should get your facts straight before accusing someone of being in "The Little camp".

Good...my post hit a nerve. Like anyone but me reads my blog anyway...like it's anything more than a personal opinion. Looks as if the election's just getting wound up...

Oh...and you have some secret friend in the mortgage industry that knows more than the Ellis County Assessment District? Are you sure it's not an imaginary friend instead? Do you need some help with the URL? Check out the site and if you can't find this out for yourself, I'll post a retraction.

Give it a rest already...your post is a non-starter.
