Baylor, Little Toddie, Big Little, Baylor, Life and the Universe and all that

Why would Baylor consider putting a hospital-even a community hospital in Red Oak? They've got a hospital in Waxahachie, there's a community hospital in Lancaster and one of my favorite homes away from home of late-Charlton Methodist Hospital in Duncan-DeSot-Dallas. Methodist just opened a brand spankin' new facility in Mansfield but that probably wouldn't count. That doesn't make good economic sense given that the Waxahachie Baylor is rather small. Any thoughts anyone? Anyone actually know anything more than rumor or BS about this?
An anonymous writer wrote that Todd Little's daddy and Little Toddie hisownsef owned the property that Baylor was interested in looking "at" (poor usage...sorry). That old Southwest quadrant discussion comes up again and again. Guess we oughta' just follow the money right?

What are the real plans for that area around the Oaks "compound"? Anyone that has a clue is invited to "edumacate me" on this one.

I'm curious...what's the straight dope on all this? It's not the answer to the question of life, the universe and all that....that's 42 and already claimed by the dolphins..."thanks for all the fish"

Let's see what pops up...hopefully it will be interesting enough for "prime time".

So, the last I heard the little's were broke and if Clueless, Mommie little didn't make council they might move out of Red Oak? What do you know about that?

I've heard that from another source but I thought it was BS. I'd print it if someone could prove it however...that might be fun to watch the Little-istas go ballistic.
I don't care what they do as long as they have absolutely NO influence upon how my taxes are spent!

My wife works in HR at the main Baylor in downtown Dallas. She has not heard anything about a hospital being built here.
But if that changes I will let you know.

thanks anon...
I thought that was the case. It is usually the opposite-large health companies go out of their way to announce and promote their future plans. It's like saying "hey...we WANT to build in your community....are you ready for us to do so?" We've got the diagnostic center on Ovilla Road. I've not seen anything else from the EDC or Chamber literature that supports the Red Oak-Baylor connection. I think that's probably a load of manure at this point but I certainly don't have a monopoly on seeing the future or insider information since I'm just a "hack for Ben Goodwyn".

Thanks!

Exactly! I can't wait for the events of this month to unfold. RO could set a record for being on the evening news! We will see.....

Maybe THIS time they'll get Little Toddie on screen. That would be entertaining...if he is half as funny as the gum-smacker interview before the run-off, he'll be able to star in his own reality show. But...from what I have heard (NOT FROM BEN GOODWYN), Little Toddie lives his own reality anyway. What a shew...
